On the eve of Veterans Day 2011, St. Joseph's Hospital in Phoenix announced that a 62-year-old Vietnam War era veteran has become the hospital's 100th lung transplant patient. Ken's respect and gratitude for his (anonymous) donor manifested in his over 11 years post transplant.

Ken loved America and served her proudly and with conviction. Like many Americans of his time, Ken was drafted into the military service during the Vietnam war. His commitment to those who served and their families was unwavering.
